San Mateo summer is on the horizon — school is letting out, the days are growing longer, and excitement is brewing as spring turns into summer!
And, there’s no better way to kick-off a San Mateo summer of fun and freedom than with the Spring Into Summer Parade. Make your way to the San Mateo County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 10th to join the mile-long extravaganza of floats, bands, and festivities. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m., starting at Franklin Parkway, continuing along Delaware Street, and ending at the San Mateo County Fair.
An Exciting Line-up Awaits!
Marching bands, floats, local dignitaries, costumed characters, performing groups, and community organizations—the Spring Into Summer Parade won’t disappoint. The procession includes a festive San Mateo summer float by San Mateo city employees, representatives from the 101st Airborne, Stormtroopers, Minions, Los Trancos Woods Community Marching Band, and Cheer San Francisco.
There is also a great variety of local businesses and community groups including the San Mateo Mother’s Club, Lions Club of the Peninsula, Core Taekwondo, San Mateo United Homeowners Association, and San Mateo Police Activities League.
Don’t miss the parade
This family-friendly event will jump start the County Fair and highlight the things that make San Mateo a great community. “It will be a day of fun and festivities for our San Mateo families and children,” stated Councilmember Maureen Freschet. Don’t miss the fun!
